Book Week at Saige Early Learning isn’t just an event—it’s a magical journey into the world of stories. With immersive storytelling, vibrant classroom transformations, and exciting themed activities, we create an environment where every child can connect with reading in their own unique way.
Throughout the week, our learning spaces are transformed into storybook-inspired settings. One corner might become a pirate ship for Captain Crabclaw’s Crew, while another becomes a whimsical forest for The Gruffalo. These backdrops immerse children in the books and inspire imaginative play.
Each day, we highlight a featured book and build the day’s learning around it. From crafts and songs to movement games and science experiments, every activity is connected to the theme, reinforcing vocabulary, comprehension, and emotional understanding.
We also celebrate Australian authors and illustrators, spotlighting local talent and showcasing cultural diversity through storytelling. At Saige Early Learning, reading is not just about the words; it’s about the wonder behind them.
To extend the excitement, we include families in the fun with take-home reading kits and daily “Story Snapshots” that let them see what their child is enjoying at the centre.
Book Week is a reminder that books don’t just educate, they enchant.
